SMC TAKUMAR-ZOOM 135~600mm f/6·7 — Zoom lens covering range from popular and versatile 135mm through 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600mm, and intermediate focal lengths. Applications primarily in news, sporting events, surveillance, and wildlife photography, with emphasis on selective changes in pictorial sizing and composition without changes in lens or shooting position. Single ring for focussing and image-sizing without shift in sharpness throughout zoom range of about 1:4·5. Ordinarily used on tripod. Versatility enhanced in combination with motor-drive camera models.1
To attach the lens to a camera, the rear part is removed by rotating a collar. This part is then screwed onto the camera and the rest of the lens attached with a three-claw bayonet mount.
Supplied with special aluminium carry case.
No light meter coupling mechanism.
* The lens is sold with a special “close-up” filter that enables it to focus from 6 to 3·35 metres.
† The filters are attached to the rear (removable) tube.
